Jordan Adetunji is a relatively new UK-based artist on the scene who has captured the attention of many with his single “KEHLANI.” The sexy drill tune features a sample of Summer Walker’s “Potential” and is all about how his love interest reminds him of his celebrity crush Kehlani. A viral TikTok dance trend and over 100 million streams later, the song, which debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, is an internet phenomenon. Flattered by the song and seeing its success, the songstress decided to bless the highly anticipated “KEHLANI (REMIX)” with their presence.

This feature comes after Kehlani asked him to perform at their sold-out Crash album release party in London. “Working with Kehlani has been a great experience because I’ve been able to see her process, and how she sings, how she places things, and how she says her words. Even her just translating what I said on my song to her verse was just amazing, it was seamless,” Jordan Adetunji shared about the collab with the GRAMMY-nominated artist.

This infectious song blends New York drill with alt-R&B vibes, and Kehlani’s verse simply adds to its appeal. Adetunji praises his love interest for being confident like Kehlani, and the track’s namesake brings that same energy. The Oakland native assertively sings, “I like a b***h that match my energy, act like she into me / Tell the world you mine and you not what these b*****s been to me / It’s plenty of fishes in the sea, I need me the biggest freak / Step out like my wife but bust me down like she my enemy.”

Kehlani continues to pop off throughout the verse and even speaks in third person while repeating the infamous hook that mentions their name. “Baby, you bad like me, uh, uh / Big bad like me, uh-huh / Ought to get you a bag like me,” Kehlani teases.

In the accompanying music video, director Mikey Rare invites us into a packed underground club to party with Jordan and Kehlani. The slick visual has a sexy, late-night feel and utilizes dramatic lighting techniques and trendy effects. We see Adetunji in various scenes in the party, in dimly lit hallways, on a pedestal surrounded by statues in a smoky room and with Kehlani, who joins him in having a time at the function.

Jordan Adetunji did his big one by snagging Kehlani for the “KEHLANI (REMIX).” The 25-year-old artist is newly signed to 300 Entertainment and Warner Records UK, so hopefully this means more sexy, genre-bending songs and dope collaborations are on the way.
