If you look up the word “dedicated” in the dictionary, you may just find Kenyon Dixon’s picture right next to the definition. The man is equally devoted to R&B music and to his fans, so much so that even in the midst of his The R&B You Love Tour, he dropped a brand-new single entitled “Far Away” for everyone’s listening pleasure.

“Far Away” is another groove from the early-2000’s R&B playbook. Similar to Kenyon’s previous single “Still,” this new track is also co-produced by the singer-songwriter and Frank Rose. It should come as no surprise that “Far Away” has that vibe as Dixon is prepping for his next drop, The R&B You Love: For The ’99 And The 2000s, the latest deluxe EP in his The R&B You Love series.

R&B Kenny is in his bag on “Far Away” and wants to escape with his lady. He doesn’t need to pack his luggage to actually go anywhere, though. The mental and physical release his woman provides when they’re together is better than any vacation.

“Give me a reason to stay / Sometimes I wanna escape / Don’t care the time or the place / Baby, just take me away / We groove from morning ’til late / Who’s keeping track anyway?” Dixon sings on the breezy, mid-tempo bop.
