Yuna Has ‘Bad Intentions’ But Looks So Good In Her Gorgeous Visual

Independence looks quite good on Yuna. The Malaysian singer-songwriter released her EP Battle on her birthday in November last year after previewing it with lead single “Glory.” The four-song set contains some of her best work, with her yet again producing a beautiful work of art. She’s also giving us beauty with visuals, including the recently released video for the EP’s standout “Bad Intentions.”

Yuna once again turns to husband Adam Sinclair to helm the clip, and he delivers one of her most breathtaking videos yet. The clip is a moody meditation that fits with the song’s brooding subject matter as the singer plays a woman scorned. “It’s over / I know you love her / Your new lover / Will be the end of me,” she sings while standing in the shadows of a set lit with neon hues of pink and blue.

She eventually steps into the light to show us that she, too, can be a dark lady. She cuts a gorgeous figure in her all-black ensemble that includes a coat and dress that flow around her like water and a long scarf braided down the length of her body.

“Bad Intentions” is a triumph for Yuna, who celebrated the video’s release with an Instagram post. “This song meant a lot to me as it was my first time writing and singing in spanish,” she wrote. “I started learning in 2023 with some help from friends who speak the language and i’m so happy i got this opportunity to make this song!”

We’re loving this new independent journey for Yuna and can’t wait to see what else it brings. But we’ll keep our focus on the now and let you watch the visual for “Bad Intentions” when you press play.
