Tyla’s debut album has proven itself to be the perfect soundtrack for springtime as we start wearing less and going out more. Although we won’t be going to any Tyla concerts since she canceled her world tour due to injury, the singer still has a brand-new album to promote and is making the rounds at events and appearances. Earlier this week she popped up on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to perform her latest single “ART.”
Show host Stephen Colbert welcomed the South African darling who was making her debut on his late-night talk show. Tyla brought the drama as the stage lights illuminated her standing still on a raised pedestal surrounded by eight dancers who struck various poses. The song’s Amapiano beat dropped in, and she came alive singing “ART” live. Known for her dancing, she kept her movements to a minimum, but that’s where her dancers came in to kick up their heels and pick up any slack. At one point, one of her dancers even ripped off a piece of her costume, but thankfully there were no wardrobe malfunctions.
Tyla on The Late Show is her latest television appearance following killer performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Voice. Watch Tyla’s talents on full display when you press play on her work of “ART” below.
