October London commemorated the first anniversary of the release of his hit album The Rebirth Of Marvin in February, but that’s not his only reason to celebrate. He followed the successful album with his successful The Rebirth Of Marvin Tour, and he’ll join Maxwell and Jazmine Sullivan on The Serenade Tour this fall. London is quite booked, very busy and hella blessed, and he reflects on his whirlwind year in the music video for “Mulholland Drive.”
One of the many standout numbers on The Rebirth Of Marvin, “Mulholland Drive” is a duet between October and West Coast R&B legend LaToiya Williams. The song is as smooth as the famous Southern California road it takes its name from as both singers cruise into musical bliss.
London hops into the driver’s seat and behind the wheel of a sweet Rolls Royce in the Dah Dah-directed visual. The luxury coupe looks good on him as he whips around Los Angeles, pulls up to The Fonda Theatre where we see his name in lights on the marquee and goes for a spin on Mulholland Drive, of course.
In between scenes of October driving, Dah Dah incorporates clips of the singer at home smoking a cigar, appearing on Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, hanging with Snoop Dogg on and off stage and live performance footage from The Rebirth Of Marvin Tour. LaToiya Williams is heard but not seen in the video, however, we do get glimpses of The Shindellas who sang background vocals for London on tour as “The Londellas.”
As big a year as October London had in 2023, it was just the warmup for an even bigger 2024. Watch him in action and cruising into the good life in the video for “Mulholland Drive” right here.
