By now, most of the world has adapted a Texas twang and put on their cowboy boots to line dance in step with Beyoncé and her new album COWBOY CARTER. While the set has many gems and standout moments, folks still gravitate to the album’s lead single “TEXAS HOLD ’EM.” Queen Bey is giving us even more reasons to give the song a few more spins as she drops off “TEXAS HOLD ’EM (PONY UP REMIX)” to make us take it to the floor once again.

Upon listening to the first portion of the remix, nothing sounds too different. The banjo lead-in remains intact, and Beyoncé is still letting us know that this ain’t Texas. However, she gets down to business much faster as she soon arrives at what was the final chorus of the original. That gives her a chance to add some New Orleans bounce into the proceedings as she calls everyone and their mama to the dance floor. It also gives her a chance to work in a brand-new verse.

“Woke up this mornin’, my heart keeps racin’ / Straight to the bottom, we all need salvation / Need you to end this drought, take me downtown,” she sings. “Gon’ leave the truck, whiskey, baby / Let’s get weekend wasted.”

It looks like this COWBOY CARTER party isn’t going to stop anytime soon. Giddy up and get going to the first of many remixes from this project when you check out the “TEXAS HOLD ’EM (PONY UP REMIX)” right here and then stick around for the full 27-song stream of COWBOY CARTER if you haven’t given the project a full listen yet.
