It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since SiR dropped his album Chasing Summer. After that album cycle ended, the singer-songwriter kept us on the hook with more new music that started coming in 2022. Now those pandemic singles and additional newness will find a home on his fourth album HEAVY. As he prepares for the set’s release in a few weeks, he’s providing a sneak preview of the project with its cover art, complete tracklist and full guestlist.
SiR gives us a peek at his chiseled physique on HEAVY’s front cover in a photograph shot by Ro. Although he’s mostly in shadow and only lit with a red light, it’s clear that he’s been putting in overtime in the studio and the gym, which hasn’t gone unnoticed in his recent music videos. He is as dedicated to his health and fitness as he is to his music.
On the music tip, HEAVY will feature a solid 16 tracks and a handful of guest artists. The set includes the aforementioned singles that SiR blessed fans with a couple of years ago – “SATASFACTION,” “NOTHING EVEN MATTERS” and “LIFE IS GOOD” with Scribz Riley – and his newer singles “NO EVIL” and “KARMA” showcasing Isaiah Rashad. The tracklist has a few songs that we can’t wait to hear based on their titles and featured guests alone. Our interest is definitely piqued by “IGNORANT” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, “POETRY IN MOTION” alongside Anderson .Paak and “I’M NOT PERFECT” with Ab-Soul.
SiR’s HEAVY will be released on Top Dawg Entertainment on Friday, March 22nd. The album is available now for pre-save/pre-add from a variety of digital music services, while CD and vinyl can be purchased on TDE’s website.
