Elijah Blake is haunted by the ghost of an ex on his new single “Ghostbuster.” Although his ex is alive and well without him, the relationship is long dead and gone but he can’t shake thoughts of her. Co-produced with Rell The SB, Elijah is in his head and his feelings on the bittersweet slow jam.

Blake has mades attempts to get over his old lover to no avail. “Tried to move on since you say you gone / I’ve been deep in these streets but still feel alone / Ooh, everyone I link up with don’t compare to you,” Blake sings on the first verse before pouring into the chorus.

“Got to get you outta my head, outta my brain / Chasing after love that I know has been dead / All of these fools stay trying / You set the bar too high, they can’t even match your fly,” he admits to his former flame. “Can’t get you outta my head, outta my brain / Chasing after love that I know has been dead / You’re just a ghost of the past that keeps coming back but never comes back.”

Released in tandem with a music video directed by Sean Alexander, the visual takes a cinematic approach inspired by the movie Interview With A Vampire. The black-and-white capture begins with Elijah walking up to a gated mansion. The gates open for him, and he strolls through in a fur coat and white suit. As he approaches the mansion, we note a few individuals watching him through the windows and from a balcony.

It’s all a little creepy, only to get creepier when he enters the house and sees a woman and shards of floating through the air. Blake is unbothered by the odd happenings as he walks around singing the song’s lyrics. He follows another woman into the home theater where the visual then turns to color, and he takes the stage to perform his heart out – literally.

Elijah Blake shared some insight into his latest chapter via press release. “With ‘Ghostbuster,’ I wanted to create a sonic and visual journey that transcends boundaries, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in a hauntingly beautiful experience. It’s a blend of my musical roots with a modern twist, and I’m thrilled to share this artistic expression with the world,” he wrote.
