Roberson continues his onslaught of new music with his latest release simply entitled “You.”

Erro’s busy pen gets an assist from co-writer Brett “Bdubb” Baker who also produced the track. The frequent collaborators craft a loving ode that is full of admiration and sincere feelings.

“You are not just U / Can I say it again? / You are not just U / You’re my U, ooh, ooh / Would not have made it through, ooh, ooh / One step without U / You’re my U, ooh, ooh,” Eric croons on the chorus. Listeners can almost picture him singing this song about and to his beloved with emoji-like heart eyes.

Although released right on time for Valentine’s Day, “You” isn’t just another love song.

"The song ‘You’ has a hidden inspiration,” Eric wrote in a press statement. “The main focus is about finding someone who completes the missing parts about you. You can love anyone, but it feels different when you love the person truly meant for you.”

He then went on to share more about the song’s underlying meaning. “Now the fun part is, this song is part of a story I am writing,” he divulged. “The story is about a world renown poet, who is so infatuated with the art of words, it interferes with his love life. In this story, the song ‘You’ is actually a love story to the letter ‘u’.”
