Saint Harison enjoyed a breakout year in 2023 thanks to his single “ego talkin’,” which landed him on many year-end lists. He is happily riding the wave of his newfound popularity and took the song to The Jennifer Hudson Show to dazzle and delight with a live performance.
Before he performed, Jennifer Hudson welcomed Saint to sit down with her for an interview. The UK native emerged from backstage with his hot pink hair brighter than all the flowers on the show’s set. The two singers spoke about their first interaction on Twitter years ago when Saint was 14 and he posted a video of him singing “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” online that naturally caught JHud’s attention. She was happy to finally get to meet him in person, but Saint was downright ecstatic, especially later in the interview when they sang a duet together.
Calling it a “full-circle moment,” Jennifer asked if they could sing the show-stopping number from Dreamgirls together, and Saint was ready. Accompanied by Charles Jones on piano, the two artists then proceeded to sing “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” like their lives depended on it. Saint was in awe of the moment at one point and had to pause to take it all in, but he pulled it together for the song’s big finish and showed out with his incredible falsetto and range.
Harison wasn’t done there. He still had to perform “ego talkin’,” and after the commercial break, he continued to shine. Joined on stage by only a guitarist and keyboard player, he slayed with his effortless vocals. Hudson was so moved she came out of both of her shoes and threw her high heels on stage as a sign of approval.
