Corinne Bailey Rae may be getting ready for her Black Rainbows Tour ’24 in February, but she’s already looking ahead to her next musical odyssey after that. Starting in March, CBR is heading back out on the road on her Plum Red Lipstick Tour featuring a mix of international festival dates and her own headlining shows across North America with special guest DIXSON in position as her opening act.
The Plum Red Lipstick Tour takes its name from a lyric found in the song “He Will Follow You With His Eyes,” an album cut from her most recent LP Black Rainbows. She’ll be performing tracks from the critically acclaimed concept album as well as beloved favorites from her previous releases.
Corinne will begin the tour in Adelaide, Australia at the WOMADelaide Festival with performances on March 8th and March 10th. She’s also booked to perform at Live At Leeds In The Park this May in Leeds, UK; the prestigious North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam, NL in July; Latitude Festival also in July in Suffolk, UK and We Out Here Festival in Wimborne Saint Giles, UK in August. All of her festival dates are also billed as Corinne Bailey Rae Presents Black Rainbows.
In between her festival appearances, Bailey Rae will spend a few weeks in the US and Canada with a run of nine shows in June. She’ll kick Black Music Month off in Detroit on June 12th then keep it moving to stages in places such as Toronto, NYC, the DC area and Boston. DIXSON is scheduled to open for her for all but two of her June shows.
Corinne Bailey Rae is very excited to rock the mic and her plum red lipstick on this tour. She’s already stated that more shows and festivals will be added to the schedule, so there’ll be ample opportunities to see her live in concert throughout the year.
