Ledisi is always a name we’re happy to see pop up on our screens and playlists, especially when the singer is offering up something new. Well, she’s got plenty new to share this go around. The “I Need To Know” singer gives us another musical treat with her new single “Sell Me No Dreams” and also announces that she’ll be hitting the road at the top of 2024 with her upcoming The Good Life Tour.

“Sell Me No Dreams” finds our girl continuing the no-nonsense, honest look at love she gave us on “I Need To Know.” This time, however, she's working with producing newcomers Shijo and G.A.D. to give her a modern sound with a radio-friendly sheen. It’s a percussion-heavy effort, with sharp snares, rattling hi-hats and heavy kicks taking up a lot of sonic real estate. Don’t worry, though, because synth keys and warm bass push through to give Ledisi a winning foundation to do what she does best.

The vocal here is more subdued, with the singer holding back some of the vocal pyrotechnics to serve the song’s direct message. She’s still doing her good singing, however, as she lets a man know that she needs someone who practices what they preach when it comes to matters of the heart.

“If you’re gonna love me then love me / If you’re gonna leave me then leave / Don’t leave me hangin’ / Don’t sell me no dreams,” she sings on the chorus. And just in case that might be misinterpreted, she spells it out even clearer, singing, “You may not know this / But I’m not with the games.”

She is with giving the people what they want, however. She’s been hitting the road and thrilling audiences all year and that will continue with her The Good Life Tour next spring. The jaunt will see her crossing the United States on a 27-date tour that will touch down in most major cities — including stops in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans, Dallas and Oakland — before all is said and done. And she's even bringing crooners Raheem DeVaughn and BJ The Chicago Kid along for the ride on select dates.

Tickets for The Good Life Tour go on sale Friday, December 1st and will be available via Ledisi’s website. You can check out both the tour flyer and a full list of dates below. But before you do that, listen to the singer telling it like it is on “Sell Me No Dreams” right here.
