It’s said that “absence makes the heart grow fonder,” but sometimes being apart from the one you love has a different effect. Questions arise, doubt sets in and negative thoughts run rampant. The Shindellas don’t have space for any of that kind of negativity in their relationships, however. The trio focuses on the positive and affirms their love on their new single “Think Of Me.”

The Shindellas turn to their Weirdo Workshop comrades Louis York for “Think Of Me,” and Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly craft them a timeless love song. Stacy Johnson, Kasi Jones and Tamara Chauniece take the heartfelt lyrics penned by Louis York and add their special herbs and spices with their vocals.

Stacy takes the lead on “Think Of Me,” while her girls back her up with their angelic harmonies. She sweetly sings to her man on the first verse, “No one ever said that love would be perfect / And no one ever said that love would be fair / I don’t even mind the hard times ’cause you’re worth it / I know I was made for you / And I know you were made for me, too.”

Circumstances and distance have them apart, but Stacy assures him that he lives in her heart and she wants to stay on his mind. She even comes through with some suggestions if he ever gets lonely. “So when it gets hard for you / Here’s what I want you to do / Think of me kissing you (kissing you) / Think of me holding you in my arms / Think of me missing you (missing you) / Every day that we’re apart,” Stacy sings, determined to hang on to this love and make it work across the miles.
