Snoh Aalegra Is Content To ‘Wait A Little Longer’ For True Love

Snoh Aalegra has been quite prolific this summer. There’s been no vacation for the songbird who has delighted fans with new music every other week for the past month. After dropping the romantic singles “Be My Summer” in July and “Sweet Tea” at the beginning of August, she keeps up the pace with her latest cut “Wait A Little Longer.”

The relationship that Snoh found in “Be My Summer” who satisfied her with their “Sweet Tea” is now no more in “Wait A Little Longer.” The love has faded like the color of something left in the sun for too long, and she’s left to figure life after love out.

“This wasn’t the ending I was imagining / Would it make a difference if I told you?” she laments at the song’s onset. Producers Sensei Bruno and Mellodust provide Snoh with a jazzy foundation of piano, percussion and guitar that her vocals glide over as she pours her feelings into the lyrics.

She may be brokenhearted, but she’s not broken as she resolves to wait for a real one. “And I’m done holding onto what ain’t meant to be mine / And I’ll wait a little longer / Til one day / No second-guessing what I know I’ll find / I’ll be careful / I’ll wait a little longer,” she sings, content to try this love thing again someday.

Snoh has thus far remained mum on what this rush of new music means. We’re not sure if these songs are part of an EP, her next album or just loosies she wanted to get off of her hard drive and into the world. Whatever the case, we’re loving every single thing that we’ve heard, and we hope to hear even more. (Don’t stop with these bi-weekly releases now, Snoh!)

Until Snoh Aalegra lets us in on her secret, scroll down to listen to “Wait A Little Longer” and watch its sunny lyric video.
