Ms. Lauryn Hill’s big year continues. She has been celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut album The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill all 2023. Days before the album, which was released on August 25, 1998, officially reaches that milestone, the beloved rapper and songstress announces The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour.
After taking the festival circuit by storm this summer with commemorative Miseducation performances at Roots Picnic, Strength Of A Woman Festival & Summit and ESSENCE Festival Of Culture, to name a few, Ms. Hill is keeping the anniversary party going well into autumn. This new tour includes previously announced and brand-new dates and jumps off in September before taking her around the world with some special guests.
The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill 25th Anniversary Tour kicks things off on September 8th in Minneapolis before she performs at the Global Citizen Festival in NYC on September 23rd. From there, she’ll go international with four shows in Australia and New Zealand in October. While Down Under, she’ll be joined by Jamaican dancehall star Koffee on the Melbourne and Sydney dates.
Ms. Hill will then come back to North America for the remainder of the tour where she will be accompanied by Fugees. Lauryn, Wyclef Jean and Pras will make up for their cancelled 2021 The Score 25th Anniversary Reunion Tour and take it back to where it all started with a show in Newark on October 17th. The tour will keep it moving to Brooklyn, D.C., Philly, Toronto, Chicago, Fort Worth, Denver, Los Angeles, Oakland and Seattle, which will host the final date of the 17-show tour on November 9th.
