Marley Bleu hopes to be the next artist to flip viral social media fame into a thriving recording career. The singer-songwriter who decided to pursue music full-time in 2020 is off to a promising start by signing to Republic Records. Marley makes her debut on the label with her first-ever single, “unintentional” featuring Pink Sweat$.

On “unintentional,” Marley sings about meeting the right person at the wrong time but still finding the time to make a love connection and make it work. She shares how smitten she is with her partner from the first verse.

“You came in so suddenly / Now you’re all I breathe / What’d you do to me?” she sings trying to make sense of this whirlwind romance she’s found herself in. It all comes together on the chorus with the self-described “introverted alto” singing, “Wrong time, think I found the right one / You’re here, don’t know where you came from / What we got is unintentional / But your love is so intentional.”

Her duet partner Pink Sweat$ is just as enamored as she is. He slides through to shower her with sweet everythings. He ends his verse with the loving declaration, “I want to bring you to my mama house / I’m on full, never in a drought with you.”

“unintentional” is produced by Supa Dups who lays down a sunny sound bed of acoustic guitar, percussion and bass. It’s the perfect foundation for Marley and Pink’s vocals to play as lovers do, and they both shine.

The fresh-faced songstress has been teasing the track for weeks on Instagram and TikTok, and it’s a lovely introduction to her talents to the masses. The gag is, she hasn’t even scratched the surface of what she can do vocally. Marley Bleu is without a doubt one to watch, which you can literally do when you view the visualizer to “unintentional” after you listen to the song below.
