When a potential romantic prospect’s reputation for elusiveness proceeds them, there are a few options. One can choose to run for the hills or stay and feel the thrill of the chase. While there’s always some risk involved when it comes to matters of the heart, most might choose self-preservation over a potentially precarious pursuit. On his latest single “OUTTA CONTROL,” singer-songwriter DESTIN CONRAD intends to the play the game his way.
Driven by the allure of his impenetrable prey, he pursues anyway, despite the sea of broken hearts they have seemingly left behind. Over the laid-back Louie Lastic and Ghetto Kids-produced track, DESTIN sings, “And I see how you did what’s his name / You so unashamed, but you met your f**king match, no flame / I’ma show you how to keep a good thing going, oh / It’s gotta be outta control.”
This latest bop marks his third release of the year, following “SWITCH” and “To This Day” featuring Musiq Soulchild. Outside of the studio, CONRAD continues to promote his EP SATIN, which dropped back in November of 2022. Ever since the project’s release, he’s been making his way across the globe, both solo and alongside his talented friends, playing to sold-out shows on nearly every continent. It seems fans can’t get enough of DESTIN’s dazed and carefree vibe and neither can we.
