The legendary Dionne Warwick has already had a storied career thanks to her magnificent run in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. In recent years, she’s become known for taking to social media to show the world her witty personality and gloriously snarky demeanor. This resurgence of sorts has brought her back into the spotlight to receive the love and accolades she deserves (including being selected as one of this year’s honorees at the Kennedy Center Honors). Adding to her good fortune, she’s also revealed that she’s signed a book deal with gift book imprint Harper Celebrate for a book set for release in January 2025.
The book — which is tentatively titled What The World Needs Now: Messages Of Love And Hope (But No Advice Cause No One Listens Anyway) — will be a full-color book featuring insights and stories from the singer’s decades-long career. It will also feature the “Dionne-isms” that she’s become known for on her social media pages.
“Harper Celebrate is giving me an opportunity to give you an insight into my feelings about love, joy, hope and inspiration,” Dionne said in a press release. “Some quite serious and most with a touch of humor. I’m excited to share with all of you!”
It’s going to be a long wait until 2025, but we have a feeling that the witticisms of Dionne Warwick will be well worth it.
