There isn’t a day that’s gone by recently without the announcement of yet another tour or music festival. However, there’s one major music event that has separated itself from the pack and gotten R&B and soul music lovers all worked up. That would be Raphael Saadiq Revisits Tony! Toni! Toné!: Just Me And You Tour 2023.
Tony! Toni! Toné! fans were beside themselves when the news broke of the group’s unexpected reunion of original members Raphael Saadiq, D’Wayne Wiggins and Timothy Christian Riley complete with a tour and new music. Their fans aren’t the only ones excited, though. The trio may not be hitting the road until late September, but they’re rolling out reunion content at a steady pace.
This week, TTT shared a teaser video to their socials filmed during a recent shoot with Houston-based photographer Odiwams. We have him to thank for all these dope new images of Timothy, D’Wayne and Raphael that have been circulating and it appears that many more are to come. We see the fellas posing in a few looks and with different props while Sons Of Soul album cut “My Ex-Girlfriend” provides the lighthearted soundtrack.
The video ends with the words “See you soon” on screen alluding to the tour, which folks have been snatching up tickets to since the moment they went on sale. The Just Me And You Tour 2023 is such a hot ticket that shows in the DMV and their hometown of Oakland are already sold out. If you live in either area and missed out on getting tickets when they dropped, Tony! Toni! Toné! has blessed both locations with a second show.
Additional concerts have been added on Monday, September 25th at MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland and Wednesday, November 15th at Oakland’s Paramount Theatre.
