R&B lovers have a reason to tune into A Capitol Fourth on PBS this Independence Day. That’s because two of the genre’s finest, Babyface and Boyz II Men, will be on hand to inject some soul into the annual July 4th celebration in Washington, D.C.

The beloved hitmakers and “I’ll Make Love To You,” “Water Runs Dry” and “End Of The Road” collaborators highlight a lineup that features a little something for everyone. Joining them will be Adrienne Warren with a tribute to Tina Turner, pop-rock band Chicago, Go-Go’s frontwoman Belinda Carlisle, country duo Maddie & Tae, actor and singer Charles Esten and acclaimed vocalist Renée Fleming, who will perform a tribute to the men and women of the armed forces. Viewers will also be treated to performances by the Broadway cast of A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical, the National Symphony Orchestra and the Northwell Nurse Choir and an appearance by the Muppets of Sesame Street.

Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, A Capitol Fourth is scheduled to take place on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol and will be televised live on PBS on Tuesday, July 4th at 8 p.m. ET. We’re crossing our fingers that The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star breaks out into The Carlton at some point during the evening’s festivities, which will end with exciting fireworks soundtracked by the U.S. Army Band.

The 90-minute special will also air on the American Forces Network and live stream on PBS’ website, YouTube and NPR member stations. In the event that you miss A Capitol Fourth live, the program will be available on demand through July 18th.
