Angie Stone’s tenth album Love Language has been in heavy rotation since she blessed fans in May with the project that features some of her best work in years. After dropping three singles – “Kiss You,” “The Gym” and “Good Man” – Stone now unveils a new single and her first music video from the collection for the song “Love The Feeling.”
The track is a silky groove tailored for steppers, and Angie gives the people what they want in the dance-filled visual. Director Charles West captures the “Brotha” singer in a nightclub setting where everyone has come to have a good time and boogie their cares and the night away. Steppers surround Stone on the dance floor, and we watch couples twirl, dip, spin and otherwise step in the name of love while she sings and gives us a little shimmy.
“This video was inspired by the infectious nature of two-step dancing and how we express love for one another through movement,” Angie said about the visual in a press release. “My hope is that you’ll be inspired to move and step during your home cookouts, house parties and grown folks’ outings.”
Angie Stone doesn’t need to tell us twice. We’ll be adding this song to our Hot Grown Folk Summer playlists, and we’re hoping that someone creates a “Love The Feeling” line dance to really set things off.
