Singer-songwriter Will Gittens is coming with it for 2023. He kicked the year off by finally giving us a video for his song “Falling For You” while also revisiting the ’90s R&B music video template we know and love. He followed that up by switching up gears on his track “Bigger Person,” where he drew a line in the sand when it comes to those who abused his good nature. He continues in that vein with the release of his latest single “DND.”
“DND” finds Will continuing to protect his peace. The song starts with him harmonizing over acoustic guitar and trap-ready drums as he prepares to deliver his message. He then lays out the song’s premise over the chorus.
“DND, DND / Don’t mess with my vibe, don’t mess with my peace / DND, DND / I ain’t got no time for bad energy,” he sings. “Do not disturb me / I’m just living life how it’s supposed to be.”
He uses the verses to further state his case, letting us know that life’s been getting the best of him as of late. Due to the everyday pressures that we all face, he’s taking a break from all those who aren’t bringing him good vibes. The refreshingly honest track is quite relatable, especially in this turbulent day and age where it seems that personal peace isn’t always valued.
