We love to watch an artist blossom, and we’re doing just that with the arrival of songstress Sy’Rai. The budding star is, of course, the daughter of Brandy, the Vocal Bible herself. However, Sy’Rai is proving that she can break out from her mother’s shadow with the arrival of her debut single “On My Own.” She’s now giving us a peek into her style and her worldview with the single’s official video.
Sy’Rai invites us to take a ride in her truck in the clip as she cruises down a winding California road while exuding her inner cool in candy-colored fits. The video doesn’t just put us in the passenger seat to ride shotgun with her girls Princess Broadus and Asia Monet Ray, though. We also get to watch Sy’Rai perform solo on a pink soundstage as she rocks a few eccentric looks. That includes a lilac outfit topped off with a furry white bucket hat and yellow net number accentuated with ripped denim and frilly tulle sleeves.
