After dropping off an acoustic rendition of their 2017 single “The List” in February, trio Moonchild returns with a colorful video that takes fans on a journey through the group’s travels.

Directed by frequent collaborator Phil Beaudreau, the video features the group performing before a backdrop of the illustrated skylines they have graced. With Andris Mattson on acoustic guitar and Max Bryk on a grand piano, lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Amber Navran delivers the delicate, silky vocals that has kept us coming back for more.

As she runs through the list of everything that she hates about a special someone, the sly smile on her face as she sings reveals the true story — that she really doesn’t hate those things at all. In fact, the viewer might find him or herself smiling along as well, recalling when they may have stood in similar shoes.

Filmed in a Los Angeles warehouse, Beaudreau fills the background with animated scenery that features the beaches, snowcapped mountains, rolling hills, packed streets and towering high rises that have formulated the Moonchild experience. If you thought that the video feels like a postcard, then you’d be on point as the group describes the video as “nostalgic animated postcard of our decade as a band.”

Currently on the road supporting their GRAMMY-nominated album Starfruit, the  tour is a continuation of the international tour they launched last year. With the current tour slated to wrap up by the end of the month, we can only hope that means the trio will be hitting the studio to deliver us some new sounds soon. Until then, we’ll kick back and enjoy this vibrant and whimsical journey around the world.
