There’s something about Allen Stone and his music that automatically brings a smile to our faces. Maybe it’s his happy-go-lucky approach to songcraft and the feel-good vibes he seems to infuse into everything that he does, including songs like his 2022 release “5 Minutes.” The singer-songwriter has a lot in store for us in 2023, and he’s kicking things off with the release of his latest single “Magic.”

“Magic” is textbook Allen Stone. It’s anchored with production from Solomonophonic, who beefs up Allen’s own musical skills with funky bass guitar and rhythm guitar licks that make this one a winner from the very beginning.

The singer once again has love on the brain, with him singing about the magic that two people in love can make when they come together. “I believe that we can make magic / Baby, we just keep dancin’ / It’s better than I ever imagined / When I’m with you,” he sings on the chorus. “I believe that we could make magic / Mix a little pleasure with passion / All my dreams seems to just happen / When I’m with you.”

Allen’s got a lot more magic to spread around. He’ll be returning to American Idol this Sunday (April 16th) as a mentor to the talented hopefuls on the long-running competition series. He’s also set to join Chris Stapleton on his All American Road Show Tour starting this June in addition to sitting in with Gary Clark, Jr. as a supporting act at a show at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on May 13th.
