It may only be March, but it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Kelly Rowland. The singer-turned-actress has her sights set on the holiday season, which will find her reprising her starring role in Lifetime’s Merry Liddle Christmas movie series and coming back as one of the project’s executive producers. The franchise returns with Merry Liddle Christmas Vacation, designated as one of the films leading the cable network’s flagship It’s A Wonderful Lifetime holiday programming for 2023.

The first Lifetime Christmas movie to ever get a sequel, Merry Liddle Christmas is now on its fourth installment. Merry Liddle Christmas Vacation follows Merry Liddle Christmas (2019), Merry Liddle Christmas Wedding (2020) and Merry Liddle Christmas Baby (2021). The series has seen Rowland’s character Jacquie Liddle evolve from a single lady to a happily married mother of twins, all the while navigating the holidays with her family who puts the fun in dysfunction.

As the title suggests, the plot for Merry Liddle Christmas Vacation revolves around a Christmastime family vacation to a faraway resort. In the midst of celebrating her wedding anniversary and the twins’ birthday, there’ll be some trouble in paradise, however. Drama and hijinks will ensue for the Liddle clan leading to another chaotic Christmas.

“The Liddle Christmas story has literally become a big part of my own family’s Christmas. I love sitting with my family and friends to watch the films,” Kelly said of the popular franchise that she’s excited to bring back to Lifetime. “To wear two hats as executive producer and actress is always challenging and exciting. I cannot wait for everyone to see the next beautiful adventure.”
