Legendary singer, songwriter, producer, independent label owner and fashionista Jody Watley has added another job to her already long resume. On Sunday, March 12th, she made her debut as a radio show host during the premiere of The Jody Watley Show on SiriusXM’s channel The Groove. Launching during Women’s History Month, Watley welcomed Emmy Award-winner Sheryl Lee Ralph to join her as her first guest.
The two multihyphenates and living legends had quite a kiki during their lively conversation. The two-hour show featured the interview segment and classic and contemporary R&B jams hand-picked by Jody Watley and her team. Listeners loved what they heard and showered the show with high praise on social media, making it a hit out of the gate.
“I am having so much fun hosting my new show on SiriusXM,” Jody Watley said in a press release. “I have the mic, as an interviewer and get to bring my own style to the show and ask questions that I think people want to know about my guests.”
Future episodes of The Jody Watley Show will air monthly and promise to always bring listeners “Good Music. Good Vibes. Good Conversation.” Tune into The Jody Watley Show on SiriusXM’s The Groove on channel 50 on the second Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. EST/3 p.m. PST and on the SiriusXM app.
