At a time when everything and everyone seems to be out of order, it can be difficult to remain positive. As chaos ensues all over the world, the good folks of Reel People capture our collective feelings over all the confusion and chaos with their new single “Everything’s So Crazy” featuring UK songstress Jill Rock Jones.
Rather than sending us deeper into the darkness, Jones’ rich and powerful vocals offer a bit of hope, as she vows to “be the change” she wants to see. Though she captures the frustration we all feel at times, the listener is allowed to simply let the soothing groove wash over them as the driving percussion and lush guitar riffs offer an audible escape.
“Everything’s So Crazy” continues the roll-out for Reel People’s first album of original music in over a decade entitled Love2. Produced by Oli Lazarus, Mike Patto and Toni Economides, via press release, Love2 is said to “embrace the out-and-out euphoria of love but offers an entirely unique voice.”
The 10-track album includes the collective’s previously released singles “Save A Lil Love” featuring Eric Roberson, “Something New” with Muhsinah, “I Never Knew” featuring Speech and “Déjà Vu” with Raheem DeVaughn among others. The project is said to be a, “powerful evolution of the Reel People sound,” and is described as, “New songs and sounds, but the same soulful passion and craftsmanship. New friends and flourishes but the same mission to move hearts, minds and dance floors.”
