During the pandemic, music was one of the few things that kept people from going insane while the world was on lockdown. One such was DJ/producer DJ Cassidy, whose unique Pass The Mic series thrived during quarantine with his thrilling collaborations with old-school R&B and hip-hop artists. After being tapped by BET to bring Pass The Mic to television in a series of post-awards show specials, DJ Cassidy now has his sights set on taking his show on the road with the announcement of the Pass The Mic Live! Tour, which kicks off this May in New Jersey.
Produced in partnership with the Black Promoters Collective, DJ Cassidy’s inaugural Pass The Mic Live! will happen on Friday, May 12th at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The concert will feature performances by R&B stars Ashanti, Ne-Yo, Robin Thicke and 112 and hip-hop showstoppers Fabolous, Ja Rule, Lil Kim and Ma$e. In addition to this already impressive lineup, there’ll be a few special surprise guests who’ll be there to pass and rock the mic.
Although the complete slate of tour dates hasn’t been announced yet, each stop on the Pass The Mic Live! Tour will be a one-of-a-kind, one-night-only event with the artists and themes changing in each city.
