The Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley made its inaugural bow last summer with a jaw-dropping lineup of neo-soul, jazz and hip-hop artists and to rave reviews. Well, the first festival was so nice they’re gonna do it twice. The 2023 edition is scheduled to happen in Napa, California the weekend of Friday, July 28th through Sunday, July 30th, and festival organizers have plans to do it even bigger and mo’ better.
Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley 2023 will welcome two familiar faces back to the stage for its second year. Fresh from both winning new GRAMMY Awards at this year’s ceremony, it’s been announced that Robert Glasper and Dave Chappelle are going back to Cali in July. Glasper will reprise his role as the festival’s Artist-in-Residence while the music-loving comedian will be back to bring the comedy and commentary like only he can.
The complete list of performers won’t be announced until March, but after artists such as Maxwell, Chaka Khan, Ledisi, Thundercat and Black Star took the stage in 2022, it’s all but guaranteed that 2023’s lineup will be just as stacked. Although the new roster of talent is a mystery for now, the new site of the festival has already been revealed.
Silverado Resort will host the Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa Valley this summer. Located in the heart of wine country, the resort will host both the festival grounds and on-site accommodations so that you can stay where you play and vice versa.
