Some songs will forever stand the test of time. Whether set to an ageless melody or laced with perpetually relevant lyrics, such creations transcend current trends and are not bound by generational confines. For his latest release, producer/DJ Mark de Clive-Lowe pays reverence to these types of timeless classics, while applying intention to the chaos of today. He teams up with Detroit producer/drummer Shigeto and Brooklyn-bred singer/songwriter/flutist Melanie Charles for ‎“The Creator Has A Master Plan Part II,”‎ their take on Leon Thomas’ 1971 cover of Pharoah Sanders’ 1969 masterpiece.

The simultaneously exciting yet soothing offering serves as the lead single for the talented trio’s forthcoming collaborative album, Hotel San Claudio. Named after their accommodations during their stint at an Italian music festival, the project marks the culmination of a creative partnership that was forged nearly four years ago.

Via Instagram, Mark shared that their downtime was spent reworking the classics and writing new music before finally debuting the fruit of their labor of love before the festival crowd. After recording in a New York City studio, they are now ready for the masses to hear the project he says “captures an unforgettable moment in time and some really special friendship and camaraderie that we can’t wait to share with you.”
