Kali Uchis recently returned with a new single “I Wish You Roses” and a stunning music video, which led to speculation about what her next music move would be. She answers that question with the announcement of the March release of her album Red Moon In Venus, which will be enhanced with a headlining concert tour starting in April.

Red Moon In Venus will be Kali’s first English language album since her 2018 debut album Isolation and follows GRAMMY-nominated Spanish language album Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios) ∞ released in 2020. Building on the accolades and runaway success of that project, Uchis looks to transcend genre on Red Moon In Venus with a blend of soul, R&B, pop, música urbana and experimental sonics. While the sound of the project will defy classification, central to the collection will be the concept of love.

“Love is the message,” Uchis shared about the new album in a press statement. “Red Moon In Venus is a timeless, burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus. The moon and Venus work together to make key aspects of love and domestic life work well. This body of work represents all levels of love — releasing people with love, drawing love into your life and self-love.”

All that Kali Uchis has revealed thus far about Red Moon In Venus is its vibrant cover art and March 3rd release date on Geffen Records. While we await more information about the release, however, she has announced a whole slate of concert dates to support the project on the Red Moon In Venus Tour produced by Live Nation.

After a handful of international festival dates in March and scheduled performances at this year’s Coachella, Kali will take North America by storm starting in April. Accompanied by opening act RAYE, Uchis will officially begin the tour in Austin, Texas on April 25th. She’ll touchdown in many major cities, including Houston, Miami, Atlanta, New York City, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, Portland, Vancouver, San Francisco and Las Vegas. The tour will call it a wrap on May 30th in Phoenix, Arizona.

The entire list of Red Moon In Venus Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets can be obtained starting on Thursday, January 26th at 10 a.m. local time via Kali Uchis’ website. The Red Moon In Venus album will be released in digital and physical formats (including vinyl) and is available now for pre-order/pre-save from various music platforms and retailers.
