Erica Campbell, one-half of the multi-GRAMMY and Stellar Award-winning gospel sister act Mary Mary, is kicking off 2023 with new music. Her latest single “Feel Alright (Blessed)” is the follow-up to her 2022 chart-topper “Positive,” which was released last March and has since garnered Campbell both a new GRAMMY Award nomination and a 2023 NAACP Image Award nod for Outstanding Gospel/Christian Song.

“Feel Alright (Blessed)” is a syncopated church clap and toe tap trigger. Produced by her husband Warryn Campbell and co-written with gospel royalty Marvin L. Winans, the song’s title sets up what’s to come on this effusive track.

Erica kicks off the praise fest, exclaiming, “Well, right about now / Good God, I feel alright / Right now, I feel alright / Today, I feel alright / And ain't nothing gonna bring me down / Cause I feel alright.” If fans couldn’t tell how good God has been to her from the first verse, it is oh-so clear by the chorus as she repeats how blessed she is and continues to extol God’s faithfulness.

The joy she feels has her dancing and singing hallelujah. She is grateful for the ways God has kept her, even when she missed the mark, and she shares her joy with the world. “Back when I was tripping / I made some wrong decisions / And now I'm on a mission / God, you've got my attention / And, woo-ooh / And it don't get no better / Ooh-ooh / When you and me together,” she testifies.
