Chaka Khan has quite a bit to celebrate In 2023. This is the year that the Queen of Funk will not only turn 70 years young, but she'll also commemorate her 50th anniversary in the music industry. Chaka has had quite a life and a career, but she's nowhere near retirement. The singer/songwriter/producer is ready for her next era after signing with The SRG/ILS Group in 2022. After releasing her first single on the label last summer, Khan reveals a lyric video for "Woman Like Me."
In the "Woman Like Me" lyric visual, Chaka Khan gives fans what they want: more of her. Chaka serves face, hair and head-to-toe glamour in a series of photographs that appear on the screen next to the lyrics for the women's anthem. Dressed in a black floor-length gown with her signature wine-colored tresses flowing and framing her eternally beautiful face, Chaka strikes a pose and gives us much more to look at than the words to the song.
The clip features photography exclusively shot by Timothy Fielding, and he captures Chaka in all of her grown woman glory. Khan has always been a stunner since she stepped on the scene in the 1970s and nothing has changed but the date.
