Sevyn Streeter is known for her R&B bops, but the singer-songwriter decided to flex her vocal chops on some seasonal soul. Reminding everyone that she's got the range, Sevyn slays with a rhythm and bluesy rendition of Nat King Cole's holiday classic “The Christmas Song” and gifts us with an accompanying music video.

“The Christmas Song” is one of our all-time favorites because it epitomizes the wonder and awe of the Christmas season and the joy it brings to kids from 1 to 92. Streeter and GRAMMY Award-winning producer Eric Hudson stunningly recreate the splendor of the original with her rich vocals and heartwarming harmonies. While the song's been sung many times and many ways, this version is one of our new holiday favorites.

The companion video, directed by Mike Ho, is elegant simplicity. The clip begins with a brief black-and-white intro where we see Sevyn in her dressing room using Buttah Skin products. We're then taken to the set, and the softly lit scene set against a powder blue backdrop feels like a snowy winter’s night as snowflakes fall on the singer, who is clad in a sheer white gown and standing in front of a polished white piano. Seated at the piano is fellow artist Lonny Bereal who adds a striking pop of color in his black suit. Sevyn's sultry performance and the beautiful styling of the visual are the touch of Christmas sexiness we all deserve regardless of if we’ve been naughty or nice.

With plans to drop her third studio album in 2023, Sevyn Streeter will keep her gifts coming well into the new year. While we wait, tap into her captivating rendition of “The Christmas Song” right here.
