Muni Long is having a moment. The singer-songwriter burst back onto the scene in recent years and made a mark on the industry with the release of Public Displays Of Affection: The Album. So much so that she's garnered several GRAMMY nominations, including one for Best New Artist, at the upcoming ceremony. So, it's fitting that our girl is ready to run her victory lap. She started with her second-ever appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she recently performed her popular cut "Time Machine."
Muni has been stunting with recent televised performances, and this outing is no different. She stepped onto the stage covered from the neck down in a silver catsuit with shiny pieces made to look even more metallic. Inspired by Whitney Houston's "Queen Of The Night" costume in The Bodyguard, the look was made to turn heads and catch all the lights, which it did as the lighting changed colors throughout her set.
That's not all that made her set feel extra special. She also incorporated dancers and choreography that added to the spectacle on stage. Mix in a wind machine, theatrical smoke and the video screen behind her, and you have a concert-worthy performance that kept the late-night audience on its toes.
GRAMMY performers haven't been announced, but if Muni Long doesn't get a chance to shine on that stage it would be a grave error. See why she deserves when you peep her performance of "Time Machine" on The Tonight Show right here.
