Jill Scott began 2020 on the road on an epic concert tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of her iconic debut album, Who Is Jill Scott? Words And Sounds Vol. 1. Unfortunately, the pandemic snatched the world's wig, and the plug got pulled on the majority of the tour dates. Jill was forced to sit down like the rest of us during the shutdown, but as the saying goes, delayed is not denied. Now, three years after first embarking on The Who Is Jill Scott? Words And Sounds Vol. 1 20th Anniversary Tour, she's ready for a do-over on The Who Is Jill Scott? Words And Sounds Vol. 1 23rd Anniversary Tour.

Instead of waiting two more years to celebrate her debut's 25th anniversary, Jill Scott decided that she is outside in 2023 to commemorate this 23-year milestone. The songstress has got something for the people with her sights set on performing the album from front to back like she originally planned.

“My band and I were so excited three years ago, but that damn COVID shut us down. Now, we outside!" Jill declared in a press release. "Come see me. Come feel again. Relive your favorite moments. Y'all ready to settle down and get with this?!? It’s a lot of love here,” she concluded her statement with the classic line from "Jilltro" that opened Who Is Jill Scott? Words And Sounds Vol.1.

Back by popular demand, the rescheduled tour will hit numerous U.S. cities in the new year and take Jilly from Philly and her band coast-to-coast beginning in February. Scott will kick off the tour in Augusta, Georgia on February 28th before moving on to cities such as Jacksonville, her beloved hometown of Philadelphia (where she'll perform two shows), Brooklyn, Newark, Detroit, Nashville, Memphis, Atlanta, Charlotte and the Washington, D.C. area where she'll also perform for two nights.

The 20-date, 18-city tour is currently scheduled to end on June 22nd in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl, but Jill has already assured fans that more dates are coming. "I'm bringing the show where you want me to," an excited Scott shared in a promo video posted to her socials, encouraging her fans from around the world to let her know what cities they want to see her in.

We haven't seen Jill Scott this juiced to go on tour in a long time, and we love to see it. We're also going to love attending this tour, and so will you. Tickets to The Who Is Jill Scott?
