Hil St. Soul is back like she never left. After taking a 14-year break between projects, she released her new album Back In Love last month much to the delight of her diehard fans who waited patiently for her return. The album has been supported by a slew of singles but noticeably missing have been any music videos for those singles – until now. Hil finally gets back in front of the camera in a visual for "Sweet Heaven."
Director Jamiel Banda is behind the camera, and he films Hil and her co-stars outside in "Sweet Heaven." The outdoor setting is lush with vibrant flora everywhere. Hil is captured in solo scenes singing amongst the greenery and soaking up the sunshine while rocking numerous colorful looks accentuated by bold accessories, stylish hair and gorgeous makeup.
The scenes switch between Soul and a couple dressed in matching ankara fabric outfits. The lovebirds share romantic moments and simply enjoy being together while "Sweet Heaven" provides the soundtrack. Their actions literally embody the lyrics, "Cause I'm in heaven right here with you / Sweet sweet heaven yes it's true."
Now that Hil St. Soul has given us this first video from Back In Love, we certainly hope that it's not the last. While we wait and see if any more visuals are on the way, press play below to watch "Sweet Heaven."
