It's been a good while since we've heard something new from Elle Varner, but she's ready to change that. Almost four years since the July 2019 release of her last project – the EP Ellevation – the singer-songwriter plans to drop new music in the new year and looks to take her show on the road on The Lucky Tour.
According to Elle in a recent Instagram post, she has, "single(s) dropping early in the year," indicating that fans are getting at least one new song and maybe more out of her. Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, it appears as if the title of her next single may, in fact, be "Lucky."
The "Refill" singer teased a snippet of a new song earlier this year in February with the hashtag #LUCKY. Then in September, she updated the header image on her Facebook page with a graphic of the word "Lucky" above her name between two 8 balls. Now she's titled her upcoming tour The Lucky Tour, so we think we're onto something.
There's still no word on if Elle's long-awaited sophomore album is on the way in 2023, too, but fingers are crossed and prayers have been prayed. This past August, Varner celebrated the 10th anniversary of her debut album Perfectly Imperfect, so it's high time for her sophomore album to finally see the light of day.
While we wait to hear what Elle Varner delivers on the music front, we're already making plans to attend The Lucky Tour this coming March, though. The tour will take Elle to City Winery locations in a few major metropolitan areas. She'll kick things off on March 10, 2023 in Chicago before moving on to Nashville, Atlanta, Boston, NYC and Philadelphia. With the City Winery location in Washington, D.C. shutting down at the top of the year, the last tour stop in D.C. on March 23, 2023 will be at Howard Theatre.
Varner assures fans that more dates are to be announced, so if your city isn't listed on this current itinerary, she may bless your area on the next leg of the tour. She's quite excited to get closer to her fans on The Lucky Tour, with VIP meet-and-greet packages with exclusive treats available for purchase on Eventbrite.
"My upcoming tour will not only give you an exclusive raw first taste of the new music but bring you back to your favorite timeless musical moments I’ve shared in the past," Elle shared in a special note on her website. Tickets to The Lucky Tour are on sale now on Elle's website and directly from City Winery locations and the Howard Theatre.
