Anita Baker has some exciting times ahead. The year 2023 will mark the 40th anniversary of the release of her solo debut album The Songstress. We fully expect a deluxe edition, box set or some other special release to drop to commemorate the album that gave us the classics "Angel," "You're The Best Thing Yet," "No More Tears" and "Feel The Need." However, this major anniversary isn't all that she has on the horizon, with the announcement of a celebratory run of live dates on the Anita Baker, The Songstress Tour.
The Anita Baker, The Songstress Tour is Anita Baker's first concert tour in 28 years. The icon has performed spot dates here and there over the years and most recently had a sold-out Las Vegas residency, but this tour will be her official return to the road for the first time in almost three decades and since she won back the rights to her masters.
Queen Anita plans to give fans the best that she's got starting in February 2023. She'll begin the tour in Hollywood, Florida on February 11, 2023. From there, the cross-country trek will venture on to Atlanta, New Orleans, Newark, Belmont Park (NY), Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Greensboro, Memphis, Atlantic City, Houston, Dallas and Los Angeles. The tour will run through December 2023, with its last date scheduled for Oakland on December 23, 2023.
The living legend is as excited to go on tour as her fans are to see her live on stage. “Looking forward to some crazy, lovely, hang time with my fans, on tour in 2023!! ….Gonna, bring some new music & some special guests, too,” Auntie Anita stated via press release and also confirmed that new music is on the way.

Tickets for all dates on the 15-city tour go on presale to Citi cardmembers beginning Monday, November 14th through Wednesday, November 16th. Tickets to the general public will go on sale on Thursday, November 17th at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation.
