Following the release of their self-titled debut album this past August on Daptone Records, San Diego, California-based trio Thee Sacred Souls are wasting no time sharing even more new music. The band comprised of members Josh Lane, Alex Garcia and Sal Samano returns with another soulful single entitled “Love Is The Way.”
Over a beautifully retro track laced with percussion by Garcia and a groovy bass line from Samano, lead singer Lane sings of a love that knows no bounds and defies description. In his nostalgia-inducing falsetto, he declares, “Love has no limits and it has no name / It’s every hour and it’s day by day / Love has no gender and it has no creed / Love is, love is a way of being.”
This latest release serves as cool yet crucial reminder that love, respect and compassion are all critical to our very existence. Via press release, Josh explained, “Love is the way. Whether it’s romantic love or love for your neighbor it’s all love. Inspired by Toni & The Hearts and the Stax sound, this uptempo A side will be sure to inspire a two-step out of even the coldest of hearts.”
