The name on everybody's lips seems to be Lizzo, whether for all the right reasons (like her stellar recent album Special) or all the wrong ones (looking at you, Kanye West and Aries Spears). But to quote her fellow Houston native, you know you that b***h when you cause all this conversation. With yet another successful release under her belt, an Emmy win and, while in the midst of The Special Tour, Lizzo is taking control of that conversation with her upcoming HBO Max documentary Love, Lizzo.
Love, Lizzo will chronicle the "About Damn Time" singer's career from her meteoric rise to fame to the creation of her latest album. Through it all, we're sure to get a heaping dose of the singer's bubbly personality and the work she's put in to become the star she is now.
"I'm so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max. From Cuz I Love You to my dramatic world tour, losing and gaining love, and creating my new album Special, y’all get to see the amount of time, patience, blood, sweat and tears that went into this process," Lizzo said about the documentary in a press release. "It takes 10 years to become an 'overnight success,' and hopefully I can inspire other young creatives to keep going."
We're sure that the documentary will be must-see TV, and we can't wait to get a peek into what makes the singer tick. Luckily, we won't have to wait long. Love, Lizzo is set to premiere on HBO Max on November 24th. Check out the full poster for the upcoming film below.
