DIXSON is feeling himself right now. But you would, too, if you had a hand in creating one of the biggest releases of 2022, Beyoncé's RENAISSANCE. The multitalented artist co-wrote "VIRGO'S GROOVE" and "PURE/HONEY," two of the many Beyhive favorites on the album. He put in work on Beyoncé's latest masterpiece, but he made sure to keep some jams for himself and plans to drop his new album 004DAISY in the coming weeks. DIXSON introduced the album with the yummy Sevyn Streeter-featuring concoction "CHERRY SORBET," and now he piques our interest with three new songs: "DAY-OFF," "HEAT" and "BARELY."

Harnessing some energy from RENAISSANCE, DIXSON beckons us to the dance floor with "DAY-OFF." He makes his mission clear from the get-go, stating at the song's onset, "I'ma make you dance," which he does with a killer Afrobeat sample that would make Fela Kuti proud. Clocking in at under two minutes, the track is a sweaty, sexy workout as he sings about taking no days off from good loving.

He keeps applying pressure on "HEAT," a duet with Tinashe. Working in a sweet horn sample from Dynasty's "Adventures In The Land Of Music" (famously sampled by Camp Lo on their classic "Luchini"), DIXSON and Tinashe sing about the heat that exists between lovers. Starting at good conversation, there's no stopping them as they take their love thang all the way.

DIXSON links back up with producers Anikan & Vader on the delightfully raunchy "BARELY." The DMV-based production outfit, who worked with him extensively on his 2021 EP DARLING, laces him with a glitchy groove over which he talks his filthy ish. While listening, you may clutch your pearls at all the sexy talk about snatching souls and whatnot and ask yourself, "Did he just say what I thought he said?" And, yes, he probably did.

These three new songs from DIXSON's 004DAISY have catapulted the album to the top of our list of September releases. The 10-song project will drop on Friday, September 16th and also features guests Vic Mensa, Michael Armstead and Stolen Nova.

004DAISY is available now for pre-save/pre-order from various digital music platforms. Peep the cover art and tracklist below and circle the album's release date on your calendars.
