Ari Lennox has been coasting on the wave of "Pressure" for damn near a year now. While we love the song and it landed on more than a few playlists in the months since its release, we've been wondering if the songstress would ever bless us with some new-new that wasn't on a Dreamville compilation. Well, folks, the wait is over as Ari returns with new single "Hoodie" and news about her sophomore album age/sex/location.

"Hoodie" is a sexy little groove produced by Ari's frequent collaborator Elite. Based around a super slick bass line and creative percussion that seems to rattle around in the background, it fits nicely in the space between modern and throwback soul. It's a perfect fit for the singer's contralto, which snuggles into the groove effortlessly.

Lyrically, she makes her goal plain as she lays out her romantic problems and asks the guy in question if he could be the one to solve them. On the chorus, she gets a bit more coy as she teases, "Can I fit in that hoodie? / I'm tryna get in that hoodie / Can I fit in that hoodie? / I'm tryna play in that hoodie."

The song's video finds her showing off skin as she gets flirty with rapper Isaiah Rashad, who plays a young hustler that she can't seem to get out of her mind. She eventually seduces him and gets what she wants as she literally slides into one of his hoodies by the video's end. She might have gotten more than she bargained for, though, as she soon realizes she's not the only woman around rocking the garment.
