Nija continues to impress. The singer-songwriter showed up and showed out earlier this year with the release of her debut Don't Say I Didn't Warn You, which featured her single "Finesse." It seems the songstress isn't going to let the summer go by without lacing us with a new cut. Enter her latest single "Love Like This."
"Love Like This" is a summer-ready love song filmed with warm vibes thanks to warm synth chords and a little bit of acoustic guitar anchoring the song's melody. As the kick of the drum kicks in, Nija takes the chance to elaborate on just how good her new man treats her.
"My new baby he protect me, he protect me / Keep it real and never stress me, never stress me," she sings. "All that pain, I let it go, go, go / Give me love, I need more, more." While it seems she's ready for love, she gets a little more reluctant on the chorus, singing, "Baby, you'rе makin' me feel a way, you got me feeling things / I'm scared to say what you mеan, 'cause to me it might be everything / I never felt a love like this."
Talking about her inspiration for the song in a press release, Nija said, "'Love Like This' is about a Monica [and] Quincy, 'you can have the last slice' type of love." That kind of feeling is definitely conveyed in the lyrics and the passionate way that she's singing here.
