The gifted singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist serves up a sweet sensation with his latest single, “CHERRY SORBET” featuring Sevyn Streeter.
Don’t let the title fool you. “CHERRY SORBET” may be a frozen treat, but DIXSON and Sevyn will have you all hot and bothered after consuming the sexually-charged lyrics they co-wrote. “Your legs, your hips, your eyes / My hands, your dirty mind / I love your cherry pie / Seconds for me tonight," he serenades her on the pre-chorus, letting the songstress know that she's on the menu and he has an insatiable appetite.
Sevyn listens to his sweet talk and counters with the lyric, "I could destroy you," before the chorus comes in. The line is her blunt way of warning him that she can ruin more than his diet.
The duo's harmonious voices play well with each other over DIXSON's production filled with synths, programmed drums and layered background vocals. He even flipped a sample cleared by The Beatles. Yeah, DIXSON isn't just bringing the heat, he's on fire right now.
The release of "CHERRY SORBET" was accompanied by a visualizer that rewinds the clock with computer graphics straight outta the 1980s. A pixelated cherry emoji (the same image used for the song's cover art) is central to the visualizer while a line of text with the artists' names and the song title appears at intervals rapidly scrolling across and down the screen in a retro computer font in a rainbow of neon colors.
