Now that he's signed a new deal with Capitol Records, Babyface is ready to rock n' roll and rock our worlds with new music. The living legend has already begun the onslaught with his single "Keeps On Fallin'" featuring Ella Mai and joined the songstress to perform the song live on BET Awards '22. It turns out that the single was just the tip of his musical iceberg with the announcement of his forthcoming new album Girls' Night Out due out this October.
For Girls' Night Out, Babyface has asked a few of the current R&B girlies to join with him on the project, which is described as "a sonic journey through love, heartbreak and all of the emotions in between." In addition to Ella, he's enlisted the talents of a few of her contemporaries, including Ari Lennox, Kehlani, Queen Naija and Doechii. More collaborators are to be announced, but we're already impressed.
The 12-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter and producer is co-producing this collection with Rika Tischendorf. Girls' Night Out will be his first new album since 2015's Return Of The Tender Lover and his second time working with all female artists on an album since the soundtrack to the 1995 film Waiting To Exhale.
“I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it. The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting To Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear,” Babyface shared about the upcoming album via press release.
Babyface and friends' Girls' Night Out is scheduled to be released on October 21st on Capitol Records. While we await more details about the project and a pre-order link because we are ready to put down our coins, get into the summer groove of "Keeps On Fallin'" on your favorite streaming service.
