The Ton3s continue to make music moves. After unveiling their new name and the new single "Better" in March, the artists formerly known as The Hamiltones are back with another new song entitled "Got So Much Love" and news about their forthcoming album, We Are The Ton3s.
Soul brothas Tony Lelo, 2E and J. Vito assure the soul sistas in their lives that their love is solid as a rock on "Got So Much Love." If doubt ever crosses their mind, this song should allay any fears.
Over co-writer Greg Cox's production of piano, organ and live drums, the trio croons about how true their love is. "There ain't nobody else in my bed (nah, nah) / There ain't nobody else in my head (nah, nah) / There ain't nobody else in the thread (nah, nah)," J. Vito sings on the first verse, hoping to convince his lady. Tony Lelo tries some convincing of his own on the second verse before 2E takes it to the bridge. Everyone gets time to shine individually and collectively when they harmonize on the chorus.
"Got So Much Love" is the latest single from The Ton3s' forthcoming new album, We Are The Ton3s. The trio has revealed that they'll have features from previous collaborators Snoop Dogg and PJ Morton on the project. If you've been keeping track, they guested on Snoop's I Wanna Thank Me album on "Doo Wop Thank Me," and jammed with PJ and BJ The Chicago Kid on the song "Everything's Gonna Be Alright" from Gumbo and Gumbo Unplugged.
After releasing four projects as The Hamiltones, this release will be the group's debut album under their new moniker and their first collection of music since their 2020 holiday album, A Hamiltones Christmas (Deluxe Edition). If "Got So Much Love" and previous single "Better" are any indication, this new album will be one soulful gift.
