Saxappeal is a man of many talents. If you happened to catch The Culture Tour earlier this year, then you got to see him making beautiful music as part of Charlie Wilson's live band. Now that the accomplished saxophonist is done with that gig, he's here with some beautiful music of his own with his latest single "Stay Here."
Saxappeal's voice greets the listener on the first verse of "Stay Here" as he sings to a woman who's got it going on and has caught his attention. He wants to move forward but past hurt has him taking his time to do this love thing right. "We ain't gotta put a rush on us, let's stay here / We don't wanna go and mess things up, let's stay here," he croons to her on the chorus encouraging them to slow things down.
Although Saxappeal's singing is the main attraction here, his sax takes center stage midway through the song with a solo that enhances the soulful track's jazzy mood. In addition to handling the vocals and music, Saxappeal co-wrote the track with Buddy Brown and Slate TheCreative.
