Kehlani seems to be focused on one goal for the blue water road album cycle: providing a visual for every track. So far, we've received clips for "altar," "little story" and "everything." Now that the album is out in the world, they are giving us another with the video for the upbeat track "up at night."
The track is already a bop, so Kehlani needed to give us a clip that matched its danceable energy. The singer doesn't disappoint with "up at night," which starts with Kehlani making it to bed after settling down for the evening. Soon, though, we're invited into the dream they're having just as the beat picks up.
That dream includes a tightly choreographed routine that allows Kehlani to show off dance skills that we don't routinely get to see from the artist. We're then transported to a glittery scene where Kehlani rocks a sparkly headdress and gown as dancers covered in stones from head to toe dance and twirl around the singer.
